Bio

Wenyun (Bill) is a classically trained film composer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist. His composition greatly crosses multiple genres including contemporary classical, electronic, funk, R&B, and jazz. In addition as a content maker on bilibili.com, he has experienced skills in film editing and audio engineering. He has over twenty thousand subscribers on social media and is still looking forward to more collaborative projects.

In October of 2023, his co-directed multi-media theatre work "Galaxy Brain Experience" was performed and won the "Audience Choice Award" at the Charm City Fringe Festival. The film he scored and edited "Bathroom Symphony" received an honorable mention at the AIMAF Festival in June. His collaboration with directors ranges from NYU, MICA, and Central Academic of Fine Arts in China.

Now as a master's candidate, he is studying film composition with Emmy-winning composer Mark Watters at Eastman School of Music in Rochester NY. As an alumnus of Johns Hopkins University, he also studied with Thomas Dolby who influenced him tremendously on pop music production.
